Social Capital can be a scary topic for some folks in education especially for those who hold deep seeded beliefs about protecting a school entity from 'outsiders'.

Social Capital is scary for a lot of people in, and outside of, the education world. It will be interesting to see how people, companies, organizations, etc. will respond to our increasingly open culture.

In hosting this convening, KnowledgeWorks Foundation hoped to: 1) Probe critical issues of the future in order to consider what learning experiences might be relevant for students, 2) Explore how learning might be delivered in the future, 3) Begin imagining what types of roles might be constructed to deliver such learning, and 4) Examine how these roles might be supported within a larger system or profession.
